Help-A-Housesm is a unique effort that connects volunteers and donations with projects in Goshen that support safe, attractive and affordable housing.
On the second Saturday in May, volunteers repair the homes of low- to moderate-income homeowners and assist LaCasa in maintaining its affordable rental properties. This program makes a significant impact toward improving older city neighborhoods in Goshen.

Volunteers help all year long!

Help-a-House annually brings out over 300 volunteers age 14 and over. The volunteers work long hours in all kinds of weather, from cold, wet and blustery to warm and sunny. We typically work at as many as 20 sites, spread across the city.
The Exchange Club offers their
pancake breakfast to start the day, and St. Mark’s UMC lets us use
their church for registration and assignments. Many local merchants donate to our event (see Sponsor list above). Volunteer groups from local high schools and colleges, churches and service groups make up our volunteer core (or corps!). On any given Help-A-House Day, windows may be replaced, roofs redone, porches rebuilt, and houses painted.
Consider joining LaCasa for a day. Help-A-Housesm can be any day that works for your group. Call or email Kate for more information on volunteering.
