In order to help 2 families achieve their dream of home ownership, we need all hands on deck!

How do we do this? We reach out to our own networks through social media, email or another preferred method. By doing this you are not only helping families with a big dream. You are also introducing your loved ones to the joy of giving to an important cause. Think about it. What if 300 people made $25 gifts? We’d blow our goal out of the water! Keep reading for examples of Facebook posts or emails that you could copy and paste and use with your network. Thanks for working hard at helping hard working families!

The following are practical actions you can take to expand the reach of this important campaign.

Our favorite - Issue a challenge!

Challenge your family, friends, and work colleagues to help you reach a total. Send an email or post on social media telling them what you plan to do and challenging people to join you to reach a total. i.e. “For #GivingTuesday, LaCasa is raising money to support families achieve their dream of home ownership. It can make all the difference! I’m making a gift of $25, but I don’t want it to stop there. I want to help raise $125. Who else will join me in making a $25 gift? The link is here: igfn.us/form/LFtiXQ. Be sure to let me know that you did it!” Feel free to make this your own. A challenge can be a fun way of engaging your network in the satisfying work of helping others.

Sharing LaCasa posts related to this campaign is an easy and effective way to present it to people you know. It’s always helpful if you let people know of your own plans to participate. i.e. “I love what LaCasa does in helping hard-working families achieve their dream of home ownership! I’ll be making a gift on #GivingTuesday. Will you join me? Go to igfn.us/form/LFtiXQ to make your gift.”

Forward a campaign email and include a personal message

If you are not already subscribed to our email newsletter, sign up by clicking here. When you receive an email related to the campaign, forward it so several people close to you, perhaps family, friends, and work colleagues. Include a brief message similar to the one above for a share Facebook post. “LaCasa does great work and I love how they help people attain their dream of owning a home. I am supporting them with this campaign and want to invite you to as well.” If you have bought a home through our services, you might say something like this: “LaCasa helped me achieve my dream of owning a home. It has made such a huge difference. I’m planning to pay it forward through this campaign and want to invite you to join me.”

Create your own social media post using @lacasainc and #GivingTuesday

Feel free to be creative. Talk about why you love LaCasa. Include the link to the campaign donation form:  https://app.mobilecause.com/form/LFtiXQ. One thing that people do for #GivingTuesday is to take an “unselfie” where they have a picture of themselves with a campaign-related sign and a personal message. They post this on their social media page with a message. Click the link below for a LaCasa “unselfie” template. You can use the first a write a personalized message or the second with a pre-written message.
