Good things were happening in January at Roosevelt Center! Early in the year (Jan.7) Roosevelt Center provided a home for “Feed our Friends”, hosted by The Black Expo. More than 300 homeless people throughout the community were served.

Just one week later, RC provided space for the Black History Youth Program, hosted by Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary. Approximately 90 people attended, and about 150 books were collected for Tolson Center. In addition to hearing speaker Dr. Daniel White Hodge (from Northpark University in Chicago), there was participation from dancers at Epic Dance Studios and an emcee named Burgundy (Abe Medellin) from Goshen College.
