At Lacasa, we believe that affordable and supportive housing isn’t built with bricks and lumber alone—it’s built through trust, collaboration, and a shared commitment to community. That spirit was on full display this week at the Lakeview Drive Development on Oaklawn’s campus, where partners gathered not just to work—but to celebrate.
A Shared Meal, A Shared Mission
We were honored to be joined by crews from DJ Construction, Bender’s Construction, Bashor Children’s Home, and our own Lacasa team for a BBQ lunch hosted by our friends and primary lumber supplier, Miller’s Building Supply. Their generosity turned an ordinary workday into an extraordinary moment of camaraderie. As the smell of burgers filled the air and laughter echoed across the site, it was a powerful reminder that strong partnerships are what truly fuel this work.
Progress at Lakeview Drive
The Lakeview Drive Development is one of Lacasa’s most exciting projects—providing supportive, affordable housing for individuals and families in need. The progress we’re seeing is not just measured in construction milestones, but in the relationships and shared values that make it all possible.
This project wouldn’t be where it is today without key partnerships and supporters, including:
-
City of Goshen – for your continued trust and investment
-
Oaklawn and Bashor Children’s Home – for walking alongside us to serve those most in need
-
DJ Construction and Bender’s Construction – for the expertise and labor that bring these visions to life
-
Miller’s Building Supply – for materials, partnership, and hospitality
Leading With Purpose
Behind every successful project is a dedicated team, and at Lacasa, we’re proud to have one of the best. A special thank you to the leaders driving this initiative forward:
-
Brad Hunsberger, Senior VP of Real Estate Development – for guiding every brick laid and blueprint drawn
-
Aaron Kingsley, VP of Asset Management – for keeping our properties strong and sustainable
-
Amy Call, CFO – for ensuring compliance and fiscal responsibility
-
Ashley Bowen, VP of Financial Empowerment – for equipping our clients with the tools to succeed
-
Alan Greaser, COO – for keeping our daily operations rooted in our mission
“It’s inspiring for the Lacasa team to have a front-row seat as projects like this come together, brick by brick, relationship by relationship. I’m proud every day to work alongside the Lacasa team and to serve the resilient, beautiful communities of Elkhart County.”
— Jeremy Stutsman, President & CEO of Lacasa, Inc.
Looking Ahead
The Lakeview Drive Development is more than a construction site—it’s a symbol of what’s possible when organizations, local government, businesses, and nonprofits come together with a shared purpose. As we continue building, we’re filled with gratitude and hope for what this space will soon become: a place of stability, opportunity, and belonging.
