It’s one thing to talk about the number of homes Lacasa has built, repaired and preserved over the years. It’s another to see where all that work has happened.
We recently took a look back at 29 years of Lacasa’s housing development, rehabilitation and home repair projects, putting hundreds of addresses on a map to see just how far our work has reached.
What started as a project to recognize Sr. VP of Real Estate Development Brad Hunsberger when he left the organization, turned into something we wanted to share with everyone.
The result is an interactive map that shows nearly three decades of Lacasa’s work across Goshen, Elkhart and surrounding communities.
Putting the map together meant looking back through years of housing development, rehabilitation and home repair projects. And there were a lot of addresses to sort through!
Over the 29 years represented, Lacasa’s work included:
Some projects fall into more than one category, so these numbers shouldn’t be added together as a total number of homes. But they do give an idea of the variety and extent of Lacasa’s work.
And while many people are familiar with our larger developments in Goshen and Elkhart, the map also includes projects in communities such as Bristol, Benton, Dunlap, New Paris, Millersburg and Nappanee.
We’ve made the impact map interactive so you can explore the projects and see where Lacasa has worked throughout the area.
Zoom in on your neighborhood, look around your community or explore some of the smaller towns where Lacasa has completed projects over the years.
You may be surprised by just how many familiar streets and places show up.
